The Larkin Centre recognises that income generation and employment creation through self-employment, is an important aspect within any local community. The self-employed support unit enables us to meet this need within the local community. The service allows long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged people to move into sustainable self-employment. It supplies practical information, assistance and training to people with business ideas and trading businesses. The service primarily aimed at the long-term unemployed, but is open to all. The scope of the help that can be accessed is reflected by the individual's circumstances.
