NovaUCD is the Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre at University College Dublin whose vision is to become an international leader in the commercialisation of research and other knowledge-intensive activity for the benefit of the economy and society. NovaUCD is responsible for the implementation of UCD policies relating to intellectual property. In addition NovaUCD provides entrepreneurs and knowledge-based start-up companies with a comprehensive business support programme comprising advice, seminars, one-to-one consultancy, workshops, individual training and facilitated linkages to UCD research. As an incubation facility NovaUCD contains 42 incubation units for entrepreneurs, campus companies and knowledge-based ventures. These range in size from 15 square metres to 64 square metres along ,with 340 square metres of bio-incubation or 'wet-lab' space available to accommodate biotechnology companies. NovaUCD also contains 14 desk spaces for individuals who are at the pre-incorporation stage of forming a company to enable them to undertake feasibility studies.
